Todd Martin is a nationally recognized higher education consultant, entrepreneur, and enrollment management leader with nearly three decades of experience helping colleges and universities improve enrollment, optimize financial aid operations, strengthen compliance, increase fundraising performance, and enhance student success outcomes.
As the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of CU Consulting, Todd partners with institutions across the United States to improve organizational effectiveness, maximize revenue, and achieve sustainable long-term growth.
Since founding CU Consulting in 2013, Todd has guided public, private, faith-based, and proprietary institutions through some of higher education's most pressing challenges, including enrollment declines, regulatory complexity, workforce alignment, financial sustainability, and technological transformation. Under his leadership, CU Consulting has become a trusted national resource for enrollment management, Title IV compliance, interim leadership staffing, advancement operations, marketing research, fundraising strategy, student lifecycle optimization, and institutional transformation.
Todd began his higher education career in 1996 at Newman University in Wichita, Kansas, where he served as a Financial Aid Counselor and quickly established a reputation for combining operational excellence with a student-centered leadership approach. Over the next three decades, he held leadership positions at Mid-America Christian University, East Central College, and Palm Beach Atlantic University, where he directed financial aid operations, strengthened compliance, improved service delivery, and helped institutions better serve students and families.
Throughout his career, Todd has become known for building high-performing teams, removing organizational silos, streamlining operations, and helping institutions navigate complex periods of change. His work has extended across numerous regions of the country and has included leadership responsibilities in enrollment management, financial aid administration, institutional advancement, compliance, and strategic planning.
Recognizing the changing landscape of higher education, Todd founded CU Consulting to provide institutions with practical, results-oriented expertise from professionals who have served on campuses and understand the realities facing college and university leaders. Today, CU Consulting offers interim leadership solutions, enrollment strategy, financial aid support, fundraising consulting, workforce development initiatives, and AI-powered operational solutions designed to help institutions thrive in a rapidly changing environment.

Todd earned a Bachelor of Science in Counseling Psychology from Toccoa Falls College after studying psychology at North Dakota State University. His leadership philosophy is grounded in servant leadership, relationship building, and empowering others to achieve their fullest potential.
In 2012, Todd was named Employee of the Year at Palm Beach Atlantic University. Colleagues described him as "a servant leader who leads by example," recognizing his commitment to students, innovation in financial aid administration, support for military veterans through the Yellow Ribbon Program, and dedication to institutional excellence.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Todd is committed to community service and leadership development. He has served as a board member of the County Seat Senior Center Foundation for over a decade, participated in senior outreach programs, and served as a faculty advisor for Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity.
Todd and his wife, Darla, have been married since 1993 and are the proud parents of four children: Caleb, Stephen, Hannah, Jonathan and four grandchildren.
